2012 Annual Auction Gala

The Auction Gala is the largest fundraiser of the year for Albert Einstein Academies. The 2012 Gala's fundraising goal is $50,000, which helps provide quality educational opportunities for our children. We need your help!

Please participate in this event by:

  • Attend the event and participate in the auction, or
  • Making a donation of goods or services to be auctioned at the gala, or
  • Becoming an underwriter to help cover the costs of this event.

If you are willing to make a donation of goods or services or would like to become a sponsor, please complete the form(s) below and return them with your donation by May 21st, 2012 to Friends of Albert Einstein Academies, 3035 Ash St., San Diego, CA. 92102 or email us at auction@friendsofaea.org. We can also arrange to pick up yoursU donation.

If you would like to support or help plan the largest fundraiser for Friends of AEA. This event must raise 50% of the funds needed to provide the art, music and other enrichment programs. You can give as little or as much time as you like - we need sponsors, volunteers, planners!

Auction Gala FAQ

I would like to make a donation – but how? Donation forms are on the Gala webpage. You may coordinate donation drop-offs by sending an email to auction-donation-dropoff@friendsofaea.org or put gift certificates in the FRIENDS Auction Box in the main office and marked FOR THE AUCTION so that they get to the right people. You can also contact the Gala Committee by email.

What can I donate or contribute? Skills – Do you have a special skill that can be auctioned off? In the past some popular parent-donated services that were auctioned included architectural services, plumbing services, photography packages and the like. Restaurant or Hotel Gift Certificates, Guest Passes (Legoland, Zoo etc.), and Gift Cards – Is there a great local restaurant you love? Is there a store you frequent? Ask them for a donation! They may be willing to donate to your school‘s fundraiser. Ask around – you will be surprised who will donate. Be creative – Get donated something you would want! Donating not only is contributing to a great cause, but is getting your name and business in front of hundreds of Einstein parents.

What will be auctioned off? We‘ll have everything from spa services to sailing trips, gourmet cooking baskets to German book collections, and much, much more. As in previous years, there will be a silent auction and a live auction. The Live Auction is where the action is – you can bid on outings for your student with their favorite teacher (always a fun part of the evening!) or on “big ticket items.”

How much can I expect to spend at the auction? That really depends on you and there is no pressure to overspend – the auction has items for all kinds of budgets, big and small. With every bid you make you are offering to purchase enhancements to AEA‘s high quality programs and education. With this in mind, your generosity is greatly appreciated.

What will the funds go to after the auction? Proceeds from the auction will be allocated to the ongoing and future enrichment programs at AEACS and AEACMS – programs we know and love and future programs we need.

What will my ticket price get me? Your ticket price will pay for a fun evening (including food and drinks) and allow you the chance to bid on all the great items. For funds raised at the auction go to AEA enrichment programs. To do this, though, we need you to purchase your ticket and join us for a great evening. Another way to make a contribution is to buy a ticket for a teacher or staff member so that they can attend the event – visit the “Giving Tree” in the main office.

My really-rich-boss would like to help underwrite but how? Please put your really-rich-boss in touch with the Auction Committee. Your really-rich-boss can also donate money to the auction here.

Tickets

Ticket prices are $50 per person after May 1st. Tickets will be $75 at the door on the day of the event. You may also sponsor a teacher or staff member for $50 per person.
